Everyone has different tastes in music. But, whether you like classical music, jazz or rock and roll, you probably have a favorite Beatles song. It would seem everyone in the world has at least one. We understand that musical tastes are subjective. But with all the Beatles worldwide hits in their short time as a band in the 1960s, their constant airplay, video games like Beatles Rockband, movies like Help, Hard Day’s Night and Yellow Submarine, countless documentaries on Beatlemania, online radio stations and blogs dedicated to them… it is clear they are the world’s best if not just one of the world’s best. Can you think of any other band that has this much love and adoration across the world?
Their charm as individual people also made them favorites the world over. It is possible to utter the names of John, Paul, George and Ringo at any place around the globe and any person of any age would know just who you are talking about.
The Beatles offered some of the greatest songwriting of the 20th Century with Lennon and McCartney writing such great hits as She Loves You, All You Need is Love and Let it Be. Even George Harrison’s compositions such as Something have become mainstays of everyday airplay on radio stations for decades. And don’t forget about Ringo’s only hit Octopus’s Garden!
The Beatles music is being celebrated more than 50 years after it came on the scene. That it has never diminished in popularity or power goes to show just why they are the best band ever.
Even though John and George have passed, and John lost his life ironically to a crazed fan, the remaining Beatles still tour the world over to the delight of millions of fans of every generation playing Beatles music to their hearts delight. Numerous cover bands and Broadway shows have been dedicated to The Beatles which is why, in our humble opinion The Beatles are the best band of all time!
